When your body is in pain, your nervous system is exhausted, and you just can’t slow down.
Maybe you’re nursing an injury that refuses to heal.
Maybe you wake up every morning with tension locked into your neck, shoulders, or lower back.
Maybe you’ve been living in that chronic state of ‘tired but wired’, always pushing through pain, ignoring what your body is screaming at you, and carrying on because you don't know how to stop.
And every time someone tells you to ‘just relax’ or ‘try meditating,’ you feel like screaming.
Because when you actually try to sit still:
The pain gets louder the moment the distractions stop.
Your body feels restless, tight, and uncomfortable.
Your mind starts racing to escape the physical discomfort.
You end up feeling more frustrated than when you started, and you decide you’re just ‘bad at meditating.’
This is what I want you to know: A body stuck in pain and survival mode cannot force itself to relax.
When you live with chronic physical stress or injury, your nervous system interprets stillness as a threat. Telling yourself to sit in rigid silence and ‘clear your head’ doesn't work when your tissues are holding months (or years) of exhaustion and tension.
This workshop is designed to meet your body exactly where it is.
You will not be asked to sit cross-legged on a hard floor or endure physical discomfort. We set up the space so your body feels completely supported, safe, and cushioned.
Instead of fighting your body, you will learn an effortless, restorative technique that down-regulates the stress signals keeping your muscles clenched and your pain pathways on high alert.
This isn’t about sitting still to be ‘disciplined’.
It’s about giving an exhausted, hurting body the deep, physiological permission to finally soften, heal, and breathe.
This workshop goes beyond relaxation
A massage or a bath gives you relief for an hour or two. Then you go back to work, the stress creeps back in, and your shoulders are up around your ears by Tuesday.
This workshop is about giving your nervous system a way to drop out of high alert anytime you need it.
You will learn:
Why pain and stress feed each other: how chronic tension and injury keep your brain in protection mode, and how this technique sends the physical signal to settle.
The actual technique: an effortless, 20 minute practice you can do at home, sitting comfortably, without needing a silent room or a quiet brain.
Space in your head: how to step out of mental chatter and sensory overload so your brain actually gets a break.
You leave with a real, repeatable tool for your body and your mind.
How the time is spent
1. The Science of Why You Hurt and Can't Switch Off
A quick, practical look at how the brain, nervous system, and physical pain talk to each other, and why forcing yourself to ‘clear your mind’ has never worked.
2. Learning the Technique
I teach you the method step by step. No chanting, no uncomfortable postures. An effortless practice designed for restless bodies and busy minds.
3. Group Practice
We sit and practice together in a supported, comfortable space so you can feel what shifts when your system actually drops down a gear.
4. Tea & Nourishing Snacks
A relaxed break to stretch out, have warm tea, eat something good, and just breathe.
5. Guided Self-Love & Healing Visualisation
We close with a deeply restorative visualisation to take physical tension out of the body, quiet the internal pressure, and give yourself genuine care.
Hi, I'm Mardi.
I am a certified meditation teacher, coach, and counsellor, currently completing my Masters in Neuroscience. Before this, I spent nine years as a remedial massage therapist, clinical Pilates instructor, and personal trainer, while pushing through elite sport.
I know chronic pain, injury, and burnout intimately.
I spent years forcing an exhausted body to keep performing because I did not know who I was if I stopped. I did not find meditation because I was naturally calm. I found it because my body was breaking down, my nervous system was fried, and my brain would not switch off.
Meditation gave me my health back. And definitely not through rigid discipline, but by giving my body and brain a reliable way to feel safe again. My approach is grounded, practical, and built for real people who need tools that actually work.
Frequently Asked Questions-
That is the whole point of this workshop. You will not be forced to sit cross-legged on the floor. We have supportive chairs, bolsters and wall support so your body is completely cushioned and comfortable. If you need to shift position, stretch, or lean back at any point, you do. A body in physical discomfort cannot settle, so your physical ease comes first. Please feel free to bring your own cushion for extra comfort too!

Most people who think they "can't meditate" were taught that the goal is a blank, silent mind. That is biologically almost impossible, especially if you're stressed or running on adrenaline. This technique does not ask your mind to stop thinking. It gives your nervous system an effortless anchor that naturally down-regulates stress without you having to fight your thoughts. If you have a busy, analytical, or racing brain, this was built specifically for you.
-
Yes. When you live with chronic pain or injury, your nervous system gets locked into high alert, which tightens muscles, heightens pain sensitivity, and exhausts your body. While this workshop isn't medical treatment, the meditation technique and visualisation directly down-regulate that fight-or-flight response. When your nervous system drops out of threat mode, physical tension eases, inflammation signals soften, and your body actually gets the space it needs to heal.
-
No. My background is in remedial massage, clinical Pilates, coaching, and a Master’s in Neuroscience. Everything we do is grounded in practical physiology and how the human brain actually handles stress. The self-love and healing visualisation is deeply nurturing, but there is no chanting, religious dogma, or toxic positivity here. It’s practical, evidence-based care for your body and mind.

Even better. You don't have to unlearn bad habits. I teach the technique from scratch in plain English, and by the end of the three hours, you will know exactly how to do it at home on your own.
